Monthly Book Club Discusses Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis
This month’s Book Club meeting featured an in-depth discussion of Franz Kafka’s renowned novella The Metamorphosis. The event took place at the Güzide Yılmaz Reading Hall and was moderated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Pınar Süt Güngör.
Throughout the session, students explored the main themes of the work, including alienation, identity, and the individual’s place within modern society. Participants also reflected on the symbolic dimension of the text and shared their critical interpretations, creating an engaging and intellectually stimulating discussion environment.
The Book Club meeting provided students with an opportunity to enhance their critical reading skills and to gain a deeper understanding of one of the key works of modern world literature.
