Book Club Discussion on Herland Held Successfully

As part of our Book Club activities, we discussed Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s novel Herlandin depth with our students this month. The meeting, held at our book café, attracted great interest and active participation.

Participants analyzed key themes such as gender, utopia, motherhood, education, social organization, and alternative social structures from different perspectives and shared insightful interpretations. In particular, discussions on the novel’s place within the feminist utopian tradition and its connections to contemporary debates were especially remarkable.

The event provided a productive and engaging discussion environment, contributing to the development of students’ critical reading skills and academic discussion experience. We thank all students who participated.
