ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE CELEBRATES ITS FIRST GRADUATES
The Department of English Language and Literature proudly celebrated the graduation of its first cohort of students at the commencement ceremony held on June 11, 2026. The ceremony marked a significant milestone, representing the culmination of years of dedicated academic work and the successful achievement of the department’s educational mission.
The event brought together students, faculty members, families, and guests to share the joy and excitement of graduation. As the graduates completed an important chapter of their academic journey, they also celebrated the beginning of new opportunities and future aspirations.
During the ceremony, students who achieved outstanding academic success were recognized for their accomplishments. Emre Özdemir ranked third, İlhan Çal ranked second, and Fatma Mehlika Tural graduated as the valedictorian of the Department of English Language and Literature. As the award-winning students received their certificates of achievement and commemorative plaques, their families and friends proudly shared these memorable moments.
As a department, we are delighted to celebrate the graduation of our first students. We congratulate all of our graduates and wish them continued success in their academic, professional, and personal endeavors. As the first graduates of the Department of English Language and Literature, they will always hold a special place in the history and development of our department.
