Film Screening of Pride and Prejudice with the English Literature Club
On March 18, 2025, under the guidance of Dr. Pınar Süt Güngör, the English Literature Club, formed by the students of the Department of English Language and Literature at MuşAlparslan University, organized a screening of the film adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice at the Sabahattin Zaim Conference Hall.
As part of the event, a brief discussion was held on literary adaptations and the cinematic representation of 19th-century English novels. Pride and Prejudice holds a significant place in literary history with its themes of social class differences, love, and individual freedom. The screening provided students with an opportunity to examine Austen’s work from a different perspective. The English Literature Club will continue to organize similar events to explore literary works in a broader context.
