English Language and Literature Preparatory Students Gather at Orientation Party
The Department of English Language and Literature organized a lively orientation party for preparatory students continuing their education at the School of Foreign Languages. The event took place at the Güzide Yılmaz Reading Hall with the participation of faculty members and students from different year groups.
The party was organized to help preparatory students adapt more quickly to the department and to provide an opportunity to meet upper-year students. The program began with a warm opening speech. The department head and other faculty members wished the students success and provided brief information about the department. Upper-year students shared tips about courses and exams with the preparatory students and talked about their experiences of campus life. Additionally, group activities gave students the chance to get to know each other better. The event received significant interest from the students. Preparatory students expressed that this organization helped them strengthen their sense of belonging to the department and build new friendships.
At the end of the program, the department head expressed satisfaction with the students’ participation and announced that such events would continue. Such social events are expected to keep contributing to students’ academic and social development.
