In the October meeting of the book club organized by the Department of English Language and Literature under the guidance of Dr. Pınar Süt Güngör, students analyzed Beloved, a novel by Toni Morrison, one of the leading figures in African-American literature. During the meeting, topics such as the author's narrative style, literary identity, the socio-economic conditions of the period, racism, and the portrayal of Black women were examined with references to passages from the text.
