Compulsory Prep Class
English Language and Literature Undergraduate Program includes a one-year compulsory English preparatory class. Students placed in the program take the Compulsory English Preparatory Class Exemption Exam held at the beginning of the academic year. Students who score 60 and above in the exam are exempt from the preparatory class and start their undergraduate education as a freshman. Students who score 59 or below or who do not take the exam attend the compulsory preparatory class for one year. Muş Alparslan University English Language and Literature Compulsory English Preparatory Class Program consists of 22 hours per week, 14 weeks in the fall semester and 14 weeks in the spring semester, a total of 28 weeks and 616 lecture hours. There are five different courses in the program. The courses in the program and the weekly course hours are as follows:
- Main Course (6 hours)
- The Structure of English (4 hours)
- Reading (4 hours)
- Writing (4 hours)
- Listening and Speaking (4 hours)
